SUBJECT: Temporary Road Closure North Talbot Road AREA: Tecumseh / Windsor ******************** COMMENTS: Saturday, August 20th, 2011 to May 2012 Portions of North Talbot Road (on each side of the Bridge over Highway 401) will be closed for up to a nine month period, beginning Saturday, August 20th, 2011, at 0300 hours. This temporary closure is required to accommodate the widening of Highway 401 from four to six lanes and to replace the existing North Talbot Road Bridge with a wider bridge as part of the Windsor-Essex Parkway project. Detours: A detour for North Talbot Road traffic, which follows Howard Avenue, Highway 3 and Walker Road, will be used as the primary detour route during the temporary closure. A route via Concession Road, Provincial Road and Walker Road will also remain available throughout the closure. NOTE: Motorists may experience periodic delays during this time. The Ministry of Transportation and the Parkway Infrastructure Constructors regret any inconvenience caused by these closures. Advisory messaging will be provided seven days in advance and during the closure. Maps detailing the detours are available on the Windsor-Essex Parkway website at www.weparkway.ca
