Essex OPP Report - Robbery Suspect being sought

(Lakeshore, on) –On Sunday, February 5, 2012 at approximately 7:00am a lone suspect entered the Petro-Canada Truck Stop on Hwy 77 at the 401, in Comber brandishing a firearm.  The suspect demanded money and left with a quantity of cash.  No one was injured and no shots were fired. Chatham-Kent Police are also investigating a similar type of incident which occurred at the Mac Milk Store, in Wheatley which occurred at 6:00am.  Police believe the two robberies are related. Police are asking for assistance in locating a white male, thin build, 5’8’’ in height and 165lbs, the male had brown hair and pronounced brown eyebrows.  At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a black winter jacket with brown fur at the collar, black jogging pants with a grey stripe on the sides, tan work boots and a grey ski mask.  A firearm was presented and seen by employees. Police are also sending out a BOLO (be on the look out) for a newer model Silver Jetta with shinny rims and possible dark tinted windows, It is believed that this vehicle was involved in these Robberies.  If anyone can provide information, they are asked to contact the  Chatham-Kent Police Service 519-352-1234, OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
